Everything you need to know about your email with Lumohost

1. Login to DirectAdmin:

Before you can manage email settings, you must first log in to your DirectAdmin panel. You do this by going to https://da.lumohost.com:2222/ and enter your login information there.

2. Create e-mail accounts:

  • Go to "Email Management" and then click on "Email Accounts.
  • Click on "Create Account.
  • Enter your desired email address (for example info@jouwdomeinnaam.com).
  • Choose a strong password and confirm it.
  • Set a quota or leave it unlimited.
  • Click on "Create.

3. Setting up e-mail forwarders:

Would you like emails to be automatically forwarded to another email address?

  • Go to "E-mail Management" and click on "Forwarders.
  • Click "Create a forwarder.
  • Enter the email address from which you want to forward emails.
  • Enter the email address to which you want to forward emails.
  • Click on "Create.

4. Webmail:

LumoHost and DirectAdmin allow you to view your emails online via webmail.

5. Email settings for your devices:

Want to set up your e-mail on your phone, tablet or desktop e-mail client? Here are the general settings:

  • Incoming server (IMAP): mail.yourdomainname.com
  • Outgoing server (SMTP): mail.yourdomainname.com
  • Username: your full email address
  • Password: your email password
  • SSL: Recommended to keep enabled for both IMAP and SMTP

6. Solve common problems:

  • Cannot send/receive emails: Check that your email quota is not full. If it is, delete some emails or increase your quota.
  • Password forgotten: Reset your password via DirectAdmin under 'Email Management'.
